The baseball cap is the new beanie

Hello bad hair days! Here comes the Nordhorn cap in a freebook version, because this casual accessory is back in fashion, but that's not all - it's also a great sewing project for using up fabric scraps.

What do you need?

  • Sewing thread in matching color
  • scissors
  • pins
  • Sewing machine
  • Medium-weight fabrics with a bit of stand - jeans, canvas, corduroy, twill, but also beautiful wool fabrics, teddy plush, boucle and even quilted fabrics.

Shield:

  • Pin right sides together and sew along the interlining (this works wonderfully with the zipper foot). Cut in the seam. Turn the shield right side out and iron.
  • Topstitch the shield twice at the rounding at the front.
  • Sew along the interlining with the zipper foot.

Sew shield to cap:

  • Pin the label to the front piece A, right sides together, and sew close to the interlining.
